Paperman Media (Cuttack )- The Cuttack Club, located within the historic Barabati Fort area, is one of the oldest and most prestigious heritage clubs in India. Established over 160 years ago during the British era, it blends colonial architecture with modern amenities, serving as a social hub for the city's elite. Many of our Intach members are also members of this iconic club.
Recently, the new refurbished lobby of the Cuttack Club was inaugurated on its 160th Foundation Day on 1st April 2026. Intach’s Cuttack Chapter Co-convener, Hitesh Seth, has curated a permanent display of old photos of the club circa 1950 . The dozen photos have been framed and put up on the walls. These rare photos were procured in an auction from London by him and Rachit Kirteeman last year.
The period photos are a wonderful representation of the club with rickshaws in the portico, the turbaned bearers, and the ruins of Barabati etc. Hitesh Bhai showed me and State Convener Dr. Biswajit Mohanty the display which adds to the heritage of the club. Both of them are members of this elite club.
