Mumbai, October 23,

Jio Platforms Limited’s ₹30,213-crore initial public offering (IPO) witnessed strong investor interest on its first day, recording an overall subscription of 3.2 times, according to figures provided in the issue update.

The offering, described as India’s largest-ever IPO, achieved full subscription within just 100 minutes of opening, setting a record for the fastest mega-IPO to reach the 100 per cent mark, the update stated.

Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) led the demand, subscribing to their reserved portion 9.42 times by the close of Day 1. The Non-Institutional Investor (NII) category was subscribed 1.83 times, while the employee quota recorded 1.36 times subscription. The shareholder reservation portion was subscribed 1.46 times.

Retail investors placed bids worth more than ₹6,900 crore, reportedly the highest Day 1 retail demand for an IPO in India. The issue also received substantial anchor investor interest, with demand exceeding 30 times the anchor allocation, according to the supplied figures.

The company’s offering comprises a fresh issue of 27 crore shares. The proceeds are intended to strengthen its balance sheet and support investments in digital network expansion, cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence-based enterprise platforms.

The issue’s performance is being closely watched as investors assess demand across institutional and retail categories during the remaining subscription period.

As per the announced schedule, the IPO closed on October 23, 2026. The basis of allotment is scheduled for October 26, followed by the credit of shares to demat accounts on October 27. The company is scheduled to list on the BSE and NSE on October 28, 2026.
