Paperman Media (Bhubaneswar)- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has strongly condemned the police brutality against students protesting the alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2026 examination and termed such inhuman attacks on lakhs of students as deeply unfortunate.
In a press statement, BJD Vice President and Senior Media Coordinator Shri Pratap Jena said that due to the alleged NEET-UG 2026 question paper leak, various irregularities, and administrative failure, nearly 40 lakh students and their families are living in deep anxiety and uncertainty. Instead of addressing the genuine concerns of the aspirants and ensuring justice, the government has chosen the path of repression by using police force against peaceful protesters. Demanding a fair and transparent examination system is the fundamental right of every student. By subjecting the country's future doctors to such treatment, the government has brought disrepute to India's image before the world.
Shri Jena further stated that many students have been injured in the brutal police action. The dreams of India's youth cannot be crushed through injustice or police brutality. Owing to administrative failure, the future of nearly 40 lakh NEET aspirants has been pushed into uncertainty. Instead of resorting to intimidation and suppression, the government must conduct a fair, impartial and transparent investigation and take stringent action against those responsible.
Expressing its unwavering solidarity with all the students affected by NEET-UG 2026, the Biju Janata Dal affirmed that it will continue its fight until justice is delivered to every aspirant. The party urged the Central Government to identify all those responsible for the examination irregularities and initiate strict action against them. It also called upon the government to ensure that no deserving student's academic future is jeopardised due to systemic failures.
The Biju Janata Dal has always stood with students in their struggle. Rather than intimidating students or using force against them, the government should resolve this crisis through dialogue and decisive corrective measures.
