Paperman Media (Bhubaneswar) - Laxmipriya Parida of IGS has once again made a name for herself at the national level. She has been honoured with the 'Deshi Dhakad-Nayi Pehachan (Woman Changemaker)' award under the "Sustainability Excellence Award-2026" for her outstanding contribution to the social and economic empowerment of women, livelihood development and sustainable social service for 28 years.
She was conferred with the award by Etherwire at a function held on 10th July 2026 at the National Stock Exchange premises in Mumbai.
On this occasion, Dr. Sanjib Sarangi, Nehal Das and Mayanka Majumdar were present to congratulate Laxmipriya and inspire her to do more developmental work in the coming days. Similarly, Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee (Senior Advisor, Ministry of Corporate Affairs), Dr. Harish Ahuja (Head of Sustainability and Strategy Development) and Dr. Sanjeev Rohilla (Chief General Manager, Climate Finance, NABARD) were prominently present at the ceremony.
It is worth noting that out of a total of 93 applications, 17 individuals and organizations were nominated for this honor. Laxmipriya Parida was also among them.
After this success, Laxmipriya Parida expressed gratitude to Indian Grameen Services (IGS) and CII for their support and inspiration. It is worth noting that on May 15 this year, she was also honored CII Foundation in New Delhi.
