Effective Media Outreach is crucial for successful census self enumeration: PIB ADG, Shri Akhil Kumar Mishra

Paperman Media (Bhubaneswar )- Shri Nikhil Pawan Kalyan, Director Census Operation,  Government of India today held an interaction with Shri Akhil Kumar Mishra, Additional Director General, Press Information Bureau to discuss key aspects of the ongoing Census e-enumeration process. Shri Abhishek Mishra, Deputy Director (News Head), Doordarshan, Odisha, was also present during the interaction.

The meeting focused on enhancing citizen participation, strengthening public awareness, and ensuring effective coordination of Census activities. Discussions highlighted the role of digital platforms in facilitating self-enumeration and making the process more accessible and efficient for citizens.

Shri Kalyan emphasized that active public involvement is essential for ensuring accuracy and completeness of Census data. He noted that citizen support will play a key role in the successful implementation of the e-self enumeration initiative.

Shri Akhil Kumar Mishra stressed the importance of strategic communication and media outreach in encouraging widespread participation. Shri Abhishek Mishra also highlighted the role of Doordarshan in disseminating information to grassroots levels and ensuring maximum public engagement.

All the officials agreed on the need for coordinated efforts among government agencies and media organizations to ensure smooth and effective conduct of the Census exercise. The meeting concluded with a commitment to intensify awareness campaigns and outreach initiatives.
