Abhisht Charitable Trust celebrates World Autism Day and distributes aids for the disabled

Paperman Media ( Bhubaneswar )- Abhisht Charitable Trust, Mahaveer Bikalanga Sahayata Samiti and Odisha Special Educators Federation for Divyang Sangha jointly organized a program to celebrate World Autism Day and distribute aids such as hearing aids, walking sticks and wheelchairs at Kalyan Mandap, Ranpur NAC, Nayagarh district. 

The founder of Abhisht Charitable Trust, Mrs. Eli Padhi Jain explained that autism is a neurological developmental disorder characterized by difficulties in social interaction and communication with other people, and by restricted and repetitive behaviors, and discussed in detail the diagnosis of autism. Ranpur NAC Chairperson Smt. Rangin Mohanty, Ranpur BDO Shri Manoj Kumar Nayak, Ranpur Tehsildar Shri Arya Kumar Sarbadaman, Ranpur NAC Executive Officer Shri Samant Vishwambar Mohapatra, District Social Officer Shri Sarveshwar Panigrahi, Mahavir Bikalanga Sahayata Samiti Chairperson Shri Bankanidhi Samal, Odisha Special Educators Federation for Divyang Sangh Editor Shri Ayushman Choudhury, Community Resource Teacher Shri Santosh Kumar Mahapatra, Kalinga Yuva Sena Founder Shri Chandrashekhar Das, and Bhubaneswar social worker Bibhu Prasad Roy joined the discussion and a threadbare discussion was held on what autism is, its prevention and awareness, etc. 

On this occasion, about 30 differently-abled students were provided with special educational materials, 36 differently-abled students with wheelchairs and 23 hearing-impaired differently-abled students with hearing aids, making a total of about 100 differently-abled students provided with the necessary equipment on the day of independence. The entire program was completed under the direct supervision of the Hon'ble  Speaker of Odisha Assembly and Ranpur MLA Smt. Surma Padhi, which was highly appreciated by the public, educationists, intellectuals, social workers and guardians of differently-abled students.
