“MY Bharat Budget Quest Finale Organised at SOA University”

Paperman Media (Bhubaneswar)- The two days Budget Quest Grand Finale brought to a successful conclusion with the appeal of the Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Mohan Majhi to the Budget Quest Winners in general, the Youth of Odisha in particular to joins hands together with the vision of the Viksit Bharat by 2047 of the Prime Minister of India. While virtually interacting with the youth along with Dr.Mansukh Mandviya, Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India, Shri Majhi expressed his confidence on the talent, ability of the youth to take India forward. 

 

The two days mega grand finale was organized by MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India with the theme of ‘Narishakti Viksit Bharat Ki Awaz : Strengthening Inclusive Democracy. The programme was formally inaugurated on 12th April by Hon’le Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly Smt. Surama Padhee in the SOA University Auditorium. Addressing to a youthful gathering of around 500 Youth delegates from Odisha and Andaman & Nicober Islands, hon’ble speaker Smt. Padhy said that “Youth is full of energy and creativity, can contribute immensely towards nation building and make India achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047. Ms. Sarita Patel, Regional Director of NSS and Prof (Dr.) Neeta Mohanty, Pro-VC of SOA University also addressed on the occasion.

 

            The Budget Quest programme was launched in Feb 2, 2026 by Dr. Mansukh Mandviya, hon’ble Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India with the core objective of participation and involvement of the Youth in the economical affairs of the country, especially the Budget 2026 which was a youth-centric budget as coined by the Finance Minister of India. In the initial stage, an online budget quiz programme was organied through My Bharat digital platform where about 12 lakh youth in the age group of 15-29 have participated and 50000 youth took part in Essay writing context. 12000 youth from across the country have been shortlisted for National level and taking part in the grand finale in 17 cluster destinations of the country. Amongst them, 500 youth delegates are participating, as a part of Bhubaneswar Cluster consisting of Odisha & A & N Islands.

 

 

            As a part of the programme, a women’s Mock Parliament was organized in the first day followed by panel discussions where young women delegates got opportunity to engage themselves in parliamentary style debate and discussions, presenting their perspectives on various issues relating to women empowerment, agriculture, especially discussing on the women reservation bill in parliament.

            During the virtual interaction with the Minister of Youth Affairs with the 12000 budget quest winners spread over 17 cluster destinations of the country, Dr.Mandviya oriented the youth on the genesis of MY Bharat as a unique single window platform to cater the multiple needs of today’s youth as well as drawn a future roadmap to achieve the goal of a developed India by 2047.

            

The Virtually meeting with the Chief Minister of Odisha and Minister of Youth Affairs  & Sports, Govt. of India at Campus 2 of SOA university, Bhubaneswar was witnessed by a large young audience consisting of budge quest winners of Odisha & A & Islands and other top dignitaries including Shri Bhupendra Singh Punia, IAS, Secretary of Youth Services, Govt. of Odisha, Dr. P.K. Nanda, Vice Chancellor of SOA University and Shri Bijay Kumar Swain, Addl. Secretary, Deptt. of Sports &  Youth Services, Govt. of Odisha.

 

            The programme was concluded with reading out the Message of Prime Minister of India.
