Odisha Hosts State Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026

Paperman Media (Bhubaneswar )- The Odisha State Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament (VBYP) 2026 commenced with enthusiasm at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, bringing together 150 outstanding youth representatives from all 30 districts of the State.

Organized by MY Bharat, Odisha in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), Odisha and the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Government of Odisha, the two-day programme (March 26–27, 2026) serves as a dynamic platform for youth engagement in democratic dialogue and policy discourse.

Background & Vision

Originally launched as the National Youth Parliament Festival in 2019, the initiative has evolved into the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament in alignment with the national vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. It reflects the vision of Narendra Modi to nurture young leaders as active contributors to nation-building.

Participation Highlights

 Total District Participation: 3764 youth

o Male: 1607

o Female: 2157

 State Level Participants: 150

o Male: 60

o Female: 90

 Top 5 participants from each district qualified for the State Level

Theme & Format

The deliberations are centered on the theme:

“Union Budget 2026 – Yuva Shakti: Budget towards Viksit Bharat 2047”

 Time Limit: 3 minutes per speaker

 Languages: Odia, Hindi, English

 Age Group: 18–25 years

Participants are engaging in structured discussions on national priorities, including growth acceleration, human capital development, and inclusive progress.

The programme aims to:

 Enhance policy awareness and leadership skills

 Encourage constructive dialogue on national issues

 Develop a pool of informed, solution-oriented young leaders

The top 3 participants from Odisha will represent the State at the National Level Youth Parliament.
