Effective Communication Key to Promoting Government Schemes: ADG Shri Akhil Kumar Mishra

Paperman Medi  (Koraput)- Shri Akhil Kumar Mishra, Additional Director General, visited All India Radio (AIR), Jeypore today and held an informative interaction with programme and engineering staff of the station. Emphasizing the importance of effective communication, Shri Mishra stated that dissemination of credible and timely information has always been the hallmark of Prasar Bharati. He highlighted that AIR Jeypore plays a vital role in catering to the information needs  particularly of the tribal areas of  Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada and Nabarangpur  districts in Odisha.

          Shri Mishra appreciated the efforts of AIR Jeypore in broadcasting a wide range of informative and entertainment programmes over the years. He noted that such programmes not only educate the public but also strengthen cultural bonds, promote national unity, and foster a sense of integrity among diverse communities. During the visit, Shri Mishra exchanged views with officials and staff reiterating  the need for impactful communication strategies to enhance awareness and outreach of government welfare schemes  among the people. Station Head Shri R. Srinivasan, Assistant Director(E), Shri Billwamangal Pradhan, Asst. Director (E) , Shri Ranjan Kumar Behera, Senior announcer along with other officials of AIR Jeypore, were present during the interaction.

     As part of his four-day visit, Shri Mishra has inspected the field office of the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Jeypore  and will also  interact with students of the Departments of Sociology and Mass Communication of  Central University of Odisha, Koraput.
