State-Level Conference of Civil Supplies officers Held

Paperman Media ( Bhubaneswar )- A State-level Conference of Chief Civil Supply Officers (CCSOs), Civil Supply Officers (CSOs) and Additional Civil Supply Officers was held today at the State Convention Centre, Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.

Minister for Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Shri Krushna Chandra Patra addressing as the Chief Guest at the conference said that CSOs work with transparency and accountability for implementation of various departmental schemes. He called upon district-level officers to work with sincerity, coordination and commitment at the grassroots level. He further stated that they must work for successful implementation of Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana. 

Delivering the keynote address, Principal Secretary Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh reviewed the overall performance of the department. He reminded the officers of their core responsibility in driving consumer awareness, safeguarding consumer interests, and maintaining market stability. He instructed them to ensure efficient implementation of welfare schemes through better coordination, timely monitoring and citizen-centric administration.

During the conference, Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation (OSCSC) Managing Director Shri K.Sudarshan Chakravarthy and the Additional Secretary Shri Sudam Charan Mandal spoke on the various issues. Senior officials also made detailed presentations on procurement operations, quality control, accounts management, distribution systems, and administrative functioning. Discussions were also held on departmental activities and operational guidelines relating to procurement and public distribution.

District officials from across the State presented localized best practices and shared vital field-level experiences on key operational areas, including farmer registration, route optimization, PDS distribution, Vehicle Tracking Systems (VTS), e-KYC verification, mill inspections, and financial management. The officials also shared crucial ground feedback and suggestions regarding food procurement policy to strengthen service delivery and improve efficiency at the grassroots level. The best districts were awarded for significant role for paddy procurement, E-KYC GPS based Vehicle Tracking system.

The conference was attended by supply officers from all districts of the State along with senior officials of the department and OSCSC. Deputy Secretary Shri Saroj Kumar Panda delivered the vote of thanks.
