Paperman Media (Bhubaneswar )- The Olympiad of Survival and Sustainability (OSS 2026) was successfully organized by SAMBHAV at DAV Public School, Unit 8, Bhubaneswar on 12th April 2026, with active participation from students of various schools. The environmentally conscious start-up Agrineev co-partnered with Sambhav in organizing the Olympiad, while students from IMIS volunteered and supported the event.

More than 100 students appeared for the 35-minute written examination, which was conducted in both English and Odia. An introductory session was also organized for students and parents to explain the objectives and significance of the Olympiad.

Recognized as the first initiative of its kind in Odisha, OSS 2026 focuses on survival skills, environmental awareness, and sustainable living—making it distinct from conventional Olympiads.

The event further included a parent orientation session on safe and nutritious food, highlighting the benefits of organic farming and raising awareness about the risks associated with chemical-based agriculture.

Eminent experts, including Sabarmatee, Dr P Srinivas, Dr Md. Imran Alli, and Dr Suresh Chandra Bisoyi, addressed the participants and parents, emphasizing the importance of environmental responsibility and life-saving skills.

The initiative was widely appreciated as a meaningful step toward nurturing environmentally and sustainability-conscious future citizens.
