Paperman Media (Khordha)- The campus of KT Global School, Khurdha, buzzed with electric energy today as it played host to the spectacular opening ceremony of the Junior National Kickboxing Championship. The event, which commenced precisely at 5:00 PM, marks the beginning of a prestigious national tournament bringing together top young athletic talent from across the country.
Inaugural Ceremony and Lighting of the Lamp. The championship was officially inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp in front of Lord Jagannath symbolizing the illumination of sportsmanship, unity, and excellence. Following the invocation, the esteemed dignitaries on the dais were warmly welcomed and felicitated with mementos and traditional shawls by Sri Santosh Kumar Agarwal, President of Wako India, and Sri Kartik Dakua, President of Wako Odisha.
The entire proceedings of the mega inaugural meeting were seamlessly and dynamically conducted by Sri Bichitra Narayan Jena, Secretary of Wako Odisha.
The ceremony was graced by an array of prominent personalities from sports, politics, and academia:
Chief Guest: Sri Abhijit Pal, Secretary, Odisha Olympic Association, who lauded the organizing committee for bringing a national event of this scale to Odisha. Guest of Honour: Sri Sajjan Sharma, State Co-ordinator, BJP, who encouraged the young athletes to compete with integrity and passion.

The absolute show-stealer of the evening was a breathtaking dance performance by Prabhu and Archita, which left the packed audience spellbound and drew roaring applause from the stands.
Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, the multi-talented kickboxers themselves took to the stage, showcasing their versatility. The audience was treated to a beautiful blend of tradition and contemporary flair, featuring a high-energy Sambalpuri folk dance alongside dynamic modern dance routines performed by the athletes. A demonstration of Kickboxing skills are performed by Odisha kickboxers.
