Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik felicitated filmmaker Amartya Bhattacharyya and producer Jhilik Bhattacharjee for the film Lahari, which won the National Award for Best Odia Film at the 72nd National Film Awards.
Directed by Amartya Bhattacharyya and produced by Jhilik Bhattacharjee, Lahari was selected as the Best Feature Film in Odia at the prestigious national awards.
Congratulating the director and producer, Patnaik appreciated their contribution to Odia cinema and their achievement on the national platform. The felicitation marked a significant moment of recognition for the team behind Lahari.
The film has also received attention at international film festivals and explores the lives and challenges of communities in rural Odisha.
The National Award has brought further national visibility to Odia cinema and highlighted the creative work of Odisha’s filmmakers, artists and technicians.
