The visit featured an insightful presentation by Dr. Sanjib Sarangi, showcasing two projects that are implemented at the Delhi NCR with NatWest's support. He briefed about the project journey, key interventions, outcomes, and future roadmap.
The presentation reflected strong social and environmental transformation—including rejuvenation of 3 water bodies with over 300,000 KL water capacity, assessment of flora, fauna, drainage line completed for the project villages, a Biodiversity Interpretation Centre has been operational, and most importantly, the villagers are mobilised and actively participated in decision making and execution of the project.
These efforts have strengthened climate resilience, and creation of future livelihood opportunities, while fostering community-led conservation and governance systems. The strong community participation and visible impact achieved so far.
