Paperman Media (Bhubaneswar) - Indian Grameen Services (IGS) Jajpur Project Head Laxmipriya Parida has brought glory to the company and Odisha by receiving the CII Woman Exemplar Award 2026. She received the award on May 12 at the CII Annual Business Meet 2026 held in New Delhi. Along with Laxmipriya, 19 other women from different parts of India were honored at the special program organized. Honorable Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan was present at the program and felicitate the awardee.
A total of 376 women from different parts of India applied for this award, out of which 20 were finalists.
Laxmipriya's journey is said to have been very difficult. Laxmipriya's journey, which began in 1993 from a small village in Daringbadi block of Kandhamal district, started with Mangalajodi Ecotourism in 2010 by joining IGS. Later, she has continued working for the livelihood of women in Rayagada, Similipal ( Mayurbhanj), Sundargarh and Jajpur. She has never thought that any work is impossible, no matter how remote the area is, she can work happily and bring success. She has no problem in taking all the employees with her. That is why she does not leave the work she puts her hand in until it is completed. When asked about the work she has done, after receiving the award, she said that she has reached this far, although many people have helped her, it has been possible due to the inspiration of Dr. Sanjib Sarangi, COO IGS her colleagues and the love of women in her field of work. On this occasion, she thanked everyone from the bottom of her heart.
