Paperman Media ( Bhubaneswar )- The Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in Odisha have reported a remarkable improvement in their Class 10 Board Examination results for the academic year 2025–26, highlighting consistent academic progress across the state.
As per the official result analysis, a total of 1,480 students were registered from 27 EMRS institutions, of which 1,466 students appeared for the examination. The overall pass percentage rose to an impressive 96.45%, a significant increase from last year’s 93.07%. Notably, no student failed the examination for the second consecutive year, reflecting the effectiveness of the schools’ academic support systems.
The number of schools achieving a 100% pass rate also saw a notable rise from 9 in the previous year to 12 this year. Furthermore, the number of schools with pass percentages between 90% and 99% increased from 11 to 13. Meanwhile, schools with pass percentages below 90% dropped sharply from 7 to just 2, indicating a more uniform improvement in performance across institutions. The state’s average pass percentage stood at 93.66%, closely matching the national average of 93.70%. However, EMRS Odisha surpassed both averages with its outstanding 96.45% result.
Among the top performers, Mahesh Bhupathi Hembram and Hiramani Baskey from EMRS Dhanghera secured 94% each. Dushmant Majhi from EMRS Bahalda followed with 93.6%, while Aleena Alam from EMRS Karanjia scored 92.63%. Laxmikanta Bhatra from EMRS Hirli also performed commendably, securing 91.8%.
Officials attributed the improved performance to enhanced academic monitoring, targeted interventions, and the dedicated efforts of teachers and school administrations. The achievement is expected to further encourage tribal students and strengthen the role of EMRS institutions in delivering quality education across Odisha.
