A review meeting was chaired by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Energy, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, to evaluate the power transmission systems and electricity services managed by Tata Power in the Niali area. The meeting was attended by Shri Chhabi Malik, Hon’ble MLA, Niali, alongside senior and Tata Power representatives. Addressing power reliability concerns, the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister issued strict instructions to expedite all infrastructure works, placing a primary focus on the comprehensive renovation, stabilization, and capacity improvement of the critical 33KV transmission line network across the region.
To ensure uninterrupted supply, the Dy CM directed Tata Power to fast-track the technical restoration and upgradation of AB (Air Break) switches and power distribution transformers. Immediate maintenance drives were also ordered to clear creepers and heavy vegetation growth from transformers and transmission lines to prevent electrical short-circuits and accidental outages. Emphasizing consumer safety, he mandated strict implementation of earthing safety standards across every household in the region. The Deputy Chief Minister cautioned officials that work speed and quality would be closely monitored, announcing that he will personally conduct unannounced surprise field visits to the Niali area at any time to inspect the renovation progress on the ground.
