OPHWC pays Rs 21.28 Crore as Dividend to Government of Odisha for the FY 2024-25

Paperman Media ( Bhubaneswar )- Odisha State Police Housing & Welfare Corporation Limited (OPHWC), a State PSU under the Home Department, Government of Odisha, has paid a dividend of ₹21.28 crore for the financial year 2024–25, the highest-ever dividend paid by this Corporation.

The dividend cheque of ₹21.28 crore for FY 2024–25 was handed over to Smt. Anu Garg, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha by Shri Saumyendra Kumar Priyadarsi, IPS, CMD, OPHWC, in the Conference Hall of Chief Secretary today, in the presence of Shri R K Sharma, IPS, Special Secretary, Home Department, Government of Odisha and other senior officials.

Over the past few years, OPHWC has demonstrated remarkable growth and operational excellence. The Corporation recorded an approximate turnover of ₹1,520 Crore during FY 2025–26, registering an impressive growth of 11% over the turnover of ₹1,366 Crore achieved during FY 2024–25. This turnover is highest so far achieved by the Corporation and reinforces OPHWC’s position as one of the leading State PSUs in the construction sector.

As a self-sustaining PSU, OPHWC meets all financial obligations from its own resources and also it has been paying dividends to the State Government since FY 2014-15. With the dividend pay-out for FY 2024–25, the cumulative dividend contribution of OPHWC to the State Government has reached ₹86.05 Crore.

OPHWC has also earned national recognition for its commitment to quality construction and project execution.  OPHWC was conferred the prestigious “Chairman Commendation Award” by the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), under NITI Aayog, for the construction of "Commissionerate of Police" Bhubaneswar in 2025 and for the New Hostel Building at Gopabandhu Academy in 2026.

The Corporation presently is executing several landmark and high-value projects that reflect its growing market presence and technical capabilities.  These include a few iconic projects like “Tarakasi Hub” in Cuttack, large value projects like Excise Bhawan, Bhubaneswar and Hostel of Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Bhubaneswar. In addition, the Corporation has been entrusted with execution of wide range of infrastructural development projects of the various departments of the Government of Odisha like Truck Terminals at various locations, New Model Jail, Bhubaneswar and District Jail, Jajpur and Blue Flag Beach at Paradeep, Tourism infra at Dumduma Waterfall and Jiranga etc. Also, the Corporation undertakes work of all Atal Bus Stands of OSRTC throughout the State.

With a strong track record of performance, financial prudence and timely execution of critical infrastructure projects, OPHWC continues to play a pivotal role in supporting the developmental objectives of the Government of Odisha while contributing significantly to the State’s infrastructure landscape.
