A 20-member high-level Israeli delegation visiting India under the India Trek for Global Leaders programme visited the KIIT and KISS campuses in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. The delegation toured various campuses of KIIT and different units of KISS, gaining insights into the institutions’ educational initiatives and community development programmes.

The delegation comprised distinguished personalities from Israel representing diverse sectors, including education, healthcare, research, banking and information technology. The members expressed admiration for the scale of development and the social impact created through the initiatives of KIIT and KISS.

During a special felicitation programme, the Israeli delegates addressed around 40,000 students of KISS and appreciated the vision and determination of KIIT and KISS Founder Achyuta Samanta. They observed that while many people dream big and have innovative ideas, only a few possess the determination and ability to transform those dreams into reality. They cited Samanta’s journey as an inspiring example of how strong willpower and a clear vision can create a world-class institution.

Recognising his outstanding contributions to education, humanitarian service and the empowerment of underprivileged communities, the Harvard Club of Israel and the visiting Israeli high-level delegation felicitated Samanta. The guests also highly appreciated his vision and lifelong commitment to social transformation through education.

Welcoming the delegation, Samanta described their visit to KIIT and KISS as a matter of great honour and expressed his gratitude for their presence and appreciation.

The visit is being organised with the approval of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, which is also bearing the expenses of the delegation's 12-day visit. They will also participate in knowledge-sharing and interaction programmes with students and faculty members of KIIT and KISS.
