Paperman Media (Bhubaneswar)- Odia Language, Literature and Culture Minister Shri Suryavanshi Suraj visited the State Museum today. He visited various galleries in the State Museum and discussed with the students doing internship at the museum about the preservation, promotion and dissemination of heritage and culture.
Based on the National Education Policy-2020, this year, students studying in the graduation course in various higher educational institutions of the state under the Higher Education Department have been engaged in internship in various government and private institutions. In this context, about 200 students have been provided internship opportunities at the Odisha State Museum.
The students are doing internship in the departments of Archaeology, Ancient Coins, Books, Art and Crafts. Culture Minister Shri Suraj has discussed with the students about the protection and preservation of the rich heritage and monuments of our state and how high-quality research can be done in this direction.
Culture Minister Shri Suryavansi Suraj said that our art, culture, heritage and architecture are our pride. This has given Odisha a unique identity in the world. The youth has an important role to play in conducting high-quality research in this direction, preserving it and making it world-class. All the students engaged in the internship are getting to know about the archaeological monuments, ancient coins and tablets, inscriptions, crafts and crafts, and cultural heritage placed in the museum. Through the internship, the students are not limited to just textbooks but are working on the practical aspects of the course. This will definitely develop the skills of the students and promote research in the field of history and archaeology, said Culture Minister Shri Suryavanshi Suraj. On this occasion, the students shared their internship experience with the Culture Minister and expressed their happiness.
