Paperman Media ( Bhubaneswar )- A total of 46,570 applicants have been selected in the Phase-I, 2nd Selection of Higher Secondary admissions for the Academic Year 2026–27, out of 87,549 applicants considered during the selection process. Of the selected candidates, 25,874 secured admission through slide-up requests, while 15,569 applicants remained unselected.
Among the selected candidates, the Arts stream accounted for the highest number with 32,782 admissions, followed by Science (11,297), Commerce (2,083), Vocational (261) and Sanskrit (147). The gender-wise distribution of selected applicants includes 22,357 male, 24,212 female, and one transgender candidate. A total of 23,231 students were allotted their first-choice Higher Secondary School, while 20,696 applicants were selected as fresh applicants.
Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School, Cuttack secured the highest cut-off in Arts (78.00%), Commerce (78.20%), and Science (90.00%), while Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, FM HSS, Balasore topped the Vocational stream with a cut-off of 67.67%. In the Upashastri stream, Sanskrit Higher Secondary School, Paralakhemundi recorded the highest cut-off at 76.00%.
