Inter Media Publicity Coordination Committee meeting organised by PIB Ranchi at Doordarshan Kendra Ranchi

Paperman Media (Ranchi )- The meeting of the Inter Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC) was organised by Press Information Bureau (PIB), Ranchi at Doordarshan Kendra, Ranchi on 15 May 2026. The meeting was chaired by Shri Akhil Kumar Mishra, Additional Director General, PIB Ranchi/Bhubaneswar. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

Shri Gaurav Kumar Pushkar, News Editor, Doordarshan Ranchi and Nodal Officer of the Committee, welcomed the representatives and highlighted the objectives of the meeting.

Shri Akhil Kumar Mishra stated that coordination, communication and shared working mechanisms among institutions are essential for effective public communication. Shri Rajesh Kumar Sinha, Head of Office, PIB and CBC Ranchi, said that the objective of the meeting is to strengthen coordination and public outreach among central institutions.

Shri Sharik Umar, Superintendent, Narcotics Control Bureau, Ranchi Unit, informed that the Bureau had carried out five major operations in 2026 and seized large quantities of narcotic substances.

Shri Amit Kumar, Programme Head, Doordarshan Ranchi, said that Doordarshan is broadcasting serials and special programmes in local languages. He informed that Doordarshan content has received over five million views across various social media platforms. Documentary dramas based on folk tales are being produced and programmes are being created using modern equipment. He further informed that Doordarshan earned revenue of approximately Rs. 3 crore during the last financial year.

Smt. Lalita Kumari, State Director, MY Bharat Jharkhand, shared information about activities being conducted under the Viksit Bharat Young Leader Dialogue, Youth Parliament Programme and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

Shri Manish Tiwari, representative of CCL, informed that CCL produced 82.2 million tonnes of coal during the last financial year. Around Rs. 79 crore was spent under CSR activities. Under the ‘CCL Ke Lal-Ladli’ scheme, coaching facilities are being provided to students and a library with a capacity of five thousand students is being constructed. He also shared information about the animal ambulance service.

Shri Neeraj Kumar, Regional Director, UIDAI, stated that 100 percent saturation of Aadhaar services has been achieved in Jharkhand and 44 thousand schools are being regularly monitored.

Shri Abhijeet Biswas, Assistant Commercial Manager, Ranchi Railway Division, informed that railway stations are being developed under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Govindpur Road Railway Station has been redeveloped and a new rail service to Ayodhya has been started.

Shri Anand Kumar, Assistant General Manager, NABARD, informed that grants exceeding Rs. 4,000 crore have been released and computerisation of 1,500 PACS offices is being undertaken in the first phase.

Smt. Mohini Kumari, Corporate Communication Executive, NTPC, informed that ACC technology is being used in the North Karanpura project. Work related to health, education and road construction is being undertaken under CSR activities.

Representatives from various central institutions, including Shri D.C. Hembrom, Deputy Director General-cum-Head of Office, All India Radio Ranchi, Smt. Bilchan Minj, Assistant Engineer, Doordarshan Ranchi, Smt. Mahvish Rahman, News Editor, All India Radio Ranchi, and Shri Prabhu Sharan, Programme Executive, also participated actively in the discussions.
