London- The documentary film "Sunya: Being Prafulla Mohanty", made on the struggle and extraordinary life of the pride and glory of our Odisha land, internationally renowned writer, artist and architect Dr. Prafulla Mohanty-92 (Nanpur, Balichandrapur, Jajpur), has been screened and awarded at the UK Asian Film Festival organized at the Riverside Studios in London on May 6.
I met this Odia writer, who has lived in London for 66 years, at his Nanpur residence last February.
The director of this documentary film is Somyajyoti Pratihari, who has worked with the writer and artist in London for five years.
It is produced by London-based photographer Pradeepta Das.
The paintings of this renowned Odisha-born writer and artist have also been fortunate enough to be featured in the famous British Museum in London.
