Shri Sambit Mohapatra is ahead of some of the pioneers in sports journalism in Odisha.
He have started his sports journalism career in 1985. Starting his sports journalism career from a newspaper, he has covered various sports from Kalahandi Cup, Ranji Trophy to Paris Olympics. It is a very difficult task for a person to learn about many types of sports, to know the rules and regulations of the game, to know the new rules that come at different times, but for Sambit, it is easy for him because it is a matter of learning something new, he says. He says that even after 41 years of sports journalism career, he is still learning.
Many sports lovers, sports journalists and intellectuals joined today's program and enjoyed the exhibition at Jayadev Bhavan. Various newspapers clipping, in which his atticle published, the various books he has read and collect, the various awards he has received, his various media I-cards, the match tickets he has participated in at various times, his photos with various people have been included in exhibitions, and they have touched everyone's hearts.
Shashanka Sekhar Dash is a Guinness World Records Holder for newspapers collection. That's why he popularly known as Paperman India. He has vast journalism experience both in print and electronics media. He also editor of an Odia weekly named as 'Paperman India' registered in PRGI, Govt of India. His book 'Khabarakagaja Aneka Katha' is a masterpiece of journalism.
