Cuttack- Uttar Pradesh’s notorious gangster Vikas Dubey killed in an encounter by Odisha Police on Saturday. The encounter took place near Simulia in Balasore district. Haider has three bullets in his body. One bullet hit his left hand and two bullets hit his stomach. After the encounter, Haider was brought to the Balasore District HQ Hospital in a critical condition, where doctors declared him brought dead after first aid. ADMO Mrityunjay Mishra of Baleshwar District Hospital has informed about the death of Haider. The hospital complex has been converted into a police cantonment.
After the news of Haider’s encounter surfaced, Cuttack DCP Prateek Singh said that the gangster was being transferred from Chaudwar Jail to Baripada Jail on Saturday from the point of view of security as per the directions of the court. An Inspector of Police, a Sub Inspector, a Section Force was taking Haider from Chaudwar Jail to Baripada Jail amid tight security. Then Haider near Balasore district Simulia asked the police to pass urine. As the police team was taking him out of the car and taking him to urinate, he tried to escape by snatching the gun of the policeman posted in security. The police sub-inspector presents there tried to stop him. He was also warned by the police team. But he got into an encounter with the police and eventually when he did not agree and tried to escape. Then the sub-inspector present there under compulsion fired from the service revolver and this bullet went into his stomach. Then the police overpowered him.
According to Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi, every effort was made by the police to stop this gangster from absconding. When he did not agree, the incident of encounter took place. Although this whole incident will definitely be investigated later. This has been clarified by Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi. Even before this, during treatment at Cuttack SCB Medical College Hospital, he escaped by dodging the police. After 15 days, the Odisha police was able to arrest him from Hyderabad.
