Jugal Dutta is no more- 21022020

Bhubaneswar- Famous translator, writer and collector ( Autograph and Matchbox) is no more. By the old age of 92 he expired today in his residence of Acharya vihar at here.

He translated more than 150 Bengali Novels in Odia language. He also translated few Odia story to Bengali and some Bengali to Odia. His novel Bimal Mitra’s “Asami Hazir” got Sahitya Academy award.

Dutta born at Maheswarpur of Jaipur in 24th December 1928. He joined cooperative department of Odisha government. After his retirement he full timer in translation work. He was also the first treasurer of Bhubaneswar Book Fair committee.

He collected autograph of many legendary persons including Jawahar Lal Nehru, Sardar Ballav Bhai Patel Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and many more. He also collected many Indian matchbox level.

Odisha Sangrahaka Mahasangha members felt very unhappy after his sad demise.
