We all know the newspaper publication is a very hectic job. So in newspaper industry most of the workers are male. Only few sub editor or copy editors found in newspapers. Their jobs are to edit the news item. Now days in every field we found women’s. Women’s join in Air force, women are in Railways also.
But we talk about a newspaper, in which all works done by women’s. Khabara Lahariya, weekly Bundeli newspaper from Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh is the example of the same. It published by women’s. And all works have done by women’s. That means collection of news, typing of news, proof reading of news, publication of newspaper and then distribution of newspaper. Due to demand of the said newspaper at various places of India now it published in Bundeli, Bhojapuri and Hindi language.
More than 40 womens are engaged in the work. It starts in the year 2002 for literacy program of a Delhi based NGO NIRANTAR. In the initial it was 4 pages. Now it published with 12 pages in every week. Khabar Lahariya awarded by UNESCO in the year 2009.
